[[SMORGASBOARD Art Challenge]]Okay so I figured I'd TRY to give this a shot. It's only 12 pictures so I feel that I can do it. I got the idea from *
xdollfacex when she made it into 12 pictures, instead of 12 fanfic drabbles. I've decided to do it Wretched themed which each character getting a different letter, except Absinthe, who gets two because A] he's my baby, and B] there's 12 letters.

[[Internet Back Up Saturday]]Okay so if anyone's noticed, I haven't been on for a few days because I do not have Internet in my apartment yet [I'm on the school's computers now], HOWEVER, I will be getting it this Saturday so I'll be logging on daily again, yay. =] So it's my fourth day in college and even though the first two were stressful, yesterday and today have been really good. I really think I'm gonna like it. ALSO, I have my own scanner in my apartment so I'll still be able to upload art whenever I want to, I don't have to wait until I go home for a break or whatever,so yay! [[I bought the scanner/printer myself, btw...I
had to have that thing, not just for fun, but for school too.]]
[[Death Note Finale]]AWWWWW LIGHT-KUN WHY!? But on a more serious note, I enjoyed the DN finale in English [I had seen it in Japanese before, and now I can compare the two] and poor Light, Misa, and Mikami. I know that L is my favorite, but that doesn't mean I don't feel bad for the Team Kira guys dying...especially Misa and Light, because let's face it, Mikami's death can be quite...comical.
But anyways, I really love this episode because Light finally loses his cool and just goes fucking crazy, screaming, crying, throwing himself about, and Matsuda, wow, where to begin. You have this goofy, yet unbearably cute police officer and then at the end he's the one that shoots Light and wants to kill him. I personally think that he was the most human at that time, no one else felt much anger towards him, they just wanted to apprehend him, but Matsuda was clearly angry and emotional that he let so many people die, especially his father, that's really what set him off.
Now don't get me wrong, I love Light, I am in no way a Light hater, just because L is my favorite, so don't let that paragraph above make you think that I am one. And poor Misa, I don't care if you like her or not, you cannot deny that the ending with her was very sad. I mean she lost EVERYTHING, and now the one thing she was living for is gone, so she literally has nothing left to live for.
This episode also had two of my favorite scenes out of the entire series. One being when Light runs past himself, that always makes me tear up, just to think that instead of being a normal boy, he takes this notebook and turns his life into one big, not necessarily a game, but Light always has to be looking over his shoulder, his mind is constantly working to figure out ways to win this, this challenge, of becoming God, of being a divine figure, when in all actuality he's only human.
And my other favorite scene is when he sees L within the beams, almost like he came for Light. And yeah people can take that in a "more proof for yaoi" way, but for once, I see it in almost an angelic, spiritual way. And I know that Light has to go to MU, but I feel that somehow L and Light would meet again.
Oh and Near has no room to talk about right, wrong, and justice, because he wanted justice, just as much as Light did and he put the SPK members in harm's way to get it. True, he wasn't as extreme as L, but he still stayed at the headquarters when Giovanni and Halle was doing everything else, and even L risked his own life at times, Near really didn't. And yeah they were going about it in a different way, but for a long time Light was killing just criminals, people that were contributing nothing good to society and Near just calls him a flat out murderer? I'm sorry and I know murder is wrong, but some of those people deserved what they got. I continue to be on both sides, both Team L and Team Kira, I think together they could have really changed the world, but seperately, both teams just wanted to do what they thought was right.
However, I will give Near props for clearly explaining the good of Mello's sacrifice, and if it wasn't for him, Kira would have won. Mello did a lot more than he was credited for, and finally he was justified then.
And so there's my two cents.
